IPSA staff and salary figures

On a day-to-day basis, IPSA is run by its Chief Executive, who reports to the Board. He is supported by an executive body of staff who are responsible for administering, regulating and paying the system of MPs' business costs and expenses.

As part of our commitment to transparency, we have pledged to publish information on who we are, what we do, what we spend and how we spend it. Notes

Remuneration for all Board members and directors is published each year in IPSA’s annual report and accounts, which can be found via this link.

1. IPSA’s chair is assumed to work approximately two days per week.

2. Members of IPSA’s Board are assumed to work approximately two per month. Their remuneration is calculated pro rata based on the number of hours work. (One day is equivalent to 7.5 hours.)

3. The Compliance Officer reports to IPSA’s Board and acts wholly independently of IPSA’s executive. You can find out more information about the Compliance Officer on his website: http://www.parliamentarycompliance.org.uk.

4. The terms of Sir Neil Butterfield and Tony Wright end in January 2016.
